This Privacy Policy explains how Chef Ceber Inc. ("Chef Ceber", "we", "us", or "our"), which operates the Ferutz brand and this website, handles personal information. In short: we only collect what you choose to give us or what we need to run the site, we use it to reply to you and to send news you asked for, we never sell it, and you stay in control of it. Chef Ceber is the party responsible for the personal information handled through this website. 2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal information collected through this website and through direct messages you send us in connection with it. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms that we do not control, even where we link to them, and it does not apply to information you provide to retailers or distributors that carry our products.

3. Information we collect

We collect only the information you give us and a small amount of technical information needed to operate the site securely.

Information you give us:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, and the message you write.
  • Wholesale form: your name, email address, business name, city (optional), and your message.
  • Newsletter signup: your email address and your consent to receive marketing email.
  • Consent records: where a form requires you to check a consent box, we store the exact wording you agreed to along with the submission.

Information collected automatically: when you submit a form, our server records the date and time, the Internet Protocol (IP) address the request came from, and the browser identification string (user agent). We use this limited technical information to keep a record of consent, to prevent abuse and spam, and to protect the security of the site.

What we do not collect: we do not operate an online store, take payments, or create user accounts on this site. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and the site does not set marketing or tracking cookies. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not send it to us.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiries, including wholesale requests.
  • To send you the newsletter and brand news you have asked to receive.
  • To keep a record that you consented to be contacted, as required by law.

  • Service providers: we use a third-party email provider (Google, through Google Workspace and Gmail) to receive and store form submissions and to send email. These providers process information on our behalf and under contractual and legal obligations to protect it.
  • Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or a lawful request by a public authority, or where we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers: if Chef Ceber is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

7. Storage and international transfer

Form submissions and consent records are delivered to and stored in a Chef Ceber email inbox hosted by our email provider. Because that provider is a global company, your information may be stored or processed on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives a comparable level of protection wherever it is processed.

8. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Enquiry messages are retained while we handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. Newsletter subscriptions and their consent records are kept until you unsubscribe and for a reasonable period afterward as proof of consent. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

9. How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, or use. Email between your browser and our provider is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us information you consider highly sensitive.

10. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and ask for a copy.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need.
  • Withdraw your consent to marketing email at any time, including by using the unsubscribe option in any email or by contacting us.
